Why curated image collections work.
The Art of Curation
In the fast-paced world of digital creativity and image research (especially in the world of CGI backplates and 360° HDRI Maps), finding the perfect visual assets can often feel like searching for a needle in a haystack.
But what if there was a place where inspiration and ready made image searches were available? Well there is! We spend a lot of time at Domeble curating hundreds of pre selected location types and subject variations to take away the pain that every creative goes through searching for that perfect image.
This pain point of finding that perfect asset is even more testing when it comes to the world of CGI and the requirements of good quality, well thought out captured scenes with supported 360° HDRI’s in our curated collections.
Exploring Domeble’s Curated Collections
We have four different categories when it comes to our collections, and they are categorised separately, as we know that our content his great for multiple applications, and different project types, and we categorise them into clear defined content types.
Backplate Collections: an extensive collection of CG ready backplates from different location packages in the collection, that are grouped in different themes.
Latest Images: A live single collection that is continually updated as new content lands on the site, and shows the most recent additions to the archive.
VR/360 Collections: A dynamic and visually compelling collection that highlights the quality and diversity of our 360 HDRI maps, that offer a range of applications from CG rendering, to VR immersive backgrounds.
Skymaps Collection: The most recent of our collections, that displays our vast range of sky only 360 HDRI maps, which offer amazing visualisation opportunities.
The Creative Value of Curated Content
In a visual industry where time is of the essence, efficiency is key. Our curated collections streamline creative workflows, allowing artists and creatives to focus on what they do best – bringing their ideas to life.
Collaboration lies at the heart of creativity. With Domeble’s curated collections, collaboration becomes effortless, especially when using our curated collections as the foundation of light boxes to share, collaborate, and innovate with fellow creatives.
How do the collections work?
The collections are theme based, such as rural locations, Urban locations, Road types, Places, Location types, car angles and colours to name just a few.
Inside each theme there are multiple collections of different content types. For example in the urban locations there are more focused location packages such cityscapes, brick, city, urban regeneration, and inside the rural locations collection there are focused packages such as mountains, remote, forests and salt flats.
The Importance of Curated Collections.
The reason why we initiated bespoke collections on Domeble’s site, was not only to bring a better workflow to our clients, but to make sure the best images in each search nuance are front and centre. We know our collection better than anyone else, and the collections save precious time and resources for our users, and provide the best image groupings that go beyond the basic search process.
The importance of an image agency to present their best content as a specialised selection, or curated lightbox should not be under estimated. We know from our clients that this not only saves time, but offers high quality relevant images on a specific location type, that they’re own search queries may not have found.
The Diversity of Collections
Its often the case that the creative spark needed to ignite a great project needs inspiration. Theres no better place to start than disappearing into an image resource that offers the very best photography and 360 HDRI content, especially of the quality offered by Domeble. You’ll find that ideas you started with, often take a detour, and ultimately end up being the route your creativity finally takes. This is especially true when having such a rich resource of curated content in our collections.
We think we have you covered for most themes inside our huge array of location types in the Domeble collections, but if you would like more of them, or want to suggest other collection types that might be of interest to you, drop us an email info@domeble.com, and we’ll make it happen.
