Education is something we at Domeble feel very strongly about and to bring this vision to life we have tied up with Symetri UK and are proud to launch the first-ever Domeble Symetri Student Awards. Domeble and Symetri, two companies closely associated with cutting edge creative 3D visualisation and immersive technologies aimed at the automotive industry. The aim behind launching these awards is to give 3D/CGI/VR/ photography students to explore their creativity and launch their career.
We have reached out to over 100 colleges across the UK and have opened doors for international students as well. We have multiple categories across photography, CGI and Design and Virtual Reality. We also want to felicitate one college who can contribute the best entries. We want to give students a chance to explore their creativity and showcase their talent.
Throughout the program, we want to ensure that our students are well looked after and feel supported. We have picked a prestigious team of judges to guide them through this process. We will also be offering master classes during the awards to make this a more holistic initiative. Some of the names who will be looking at students’ entries include Carl Lyttle – photographer and founder at Domeble, Keith Jeffery – Head of Automotive Division at Taylor James, Chris O’Connor – Head of Technical Development at Zerolight, David Gover – Capture One and Nick John – Industrial Design and Visualisation Manager at Symetri Europe, Coline Thibaut-Product CG Artist – The Swatch Group and Henry Morshead-Chief Designer, Hill Helicopters Ben Cordes-Design Visualisation Manager, Bentley Motors Ltd.
This is a once in a lifetime chance for students to launch their career. Our program has already received a lot of interest throughout the industry with sponsors coming on board to offer internships, cash prizes and access to various online training courses. We want to ensure that we give participating students a fair chance to kick start their career. We launched the awards digitally on the 26th of October and they will culminate with a grand awards ceremony, now to be held on the 10th of September 2021.
